Partnership
Special Olympics Northern California & The Special Report
The Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame and Special Olympics Northern California share one belief: sport has the power to transform lives, build character and unite communities. Together we put athletes at the center of the story — on the field, and behind the microphone.

The Special Report
Athlete Leaders Interview Bay Area Legends
The Special Report is an interview series hosted by Special Olympics NorCal Athlete Leaders. In each episode, the hosts sit down with celebrated Bay Area sports figures — including several BASHOF inductees — to talk about their careers, their turning points and what it truly means to compete.
The result is a conversation you won't hear anywhere else: two athletes, different arenas, the same competitive heart. New episodes are published on YouTube.
- Hosted by Athlete LeadersTrained SONC Athlete Leaders run the interview — the questions, the follow-ups, the whole show.
- Hall of Fame GuestsGuests include BASHOF inductees and other celebrated Bay Area sports figures.
- Built on InclusionEvery episode models what our partnership stands for: shared stages, shared respect.
